Post Refractive Surgery
We continue to get inquiries specifically with regards to ortho-k and refractive surgery. We regularly fit patients that have had RK and LASIK procedures. We have never had any issues arise that would be a safety concern. I believe that the majority of risk arises from the actual manipulation of a corneal lens (Gas Perm or Soft) on the eye especially during insertion or removal. In this regards all corneal lens are both equally safe and equally dangerous, particularly with LASIK flaps. Please read our informed consent page on our regular web page to gain a more detailed understanding of those unquantifiable risks.
